  1. I am Mom to Andy, Kym, Emilee, Rachel, and Matt
  2. My kids are amazing, every one of them, in their own unique ways.
  3. I consider myself more spiritual than religious these days. Yes. There is a difference.
  4. I live on a couple of acres at the base of the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains
  5. I like to read biographies about historical figures
  6. I'm facinated by technology
  7. I graduated with an M.A. in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University in 2003.
  8. Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate... what else can I say?
  9. My favorite colors are earth tones, blues, browns, etc.
  10. My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and John Irving

  2. Macromedia evangelist. It was a sad day when they sold out to Adobe. I remember What the Web Can Be...too bad they don't.
  3. First code I wrote was on an Apple IIe in 1984.
  4. It took me nine years to get my B.A. degree.
  5. It only took me 13 months to get my M.A. degree.
  6. My B.A. is in Linguistics with a minor in English from CSU Fresno.
  7. I had a golden retriever for 14 years. I have a teenager Golden retriever now.
  8. I like apples.
  9. Speaking of Apples, I got my first MacBook Pro in Oct 2006. I'm a Switcher.
  10. My favorite food is Italian. I also like Mexican food.

  1. I've worn glasses since 5th grade. My eye doc says I can get the eye surgery to correct it, but I said NO WAY!
  2. I can watch open heart surgery, but eyeball stuff makes me squeemish.

  5. Love my low-top, lace-up Converse. Have dark blue and want a brown pair and a green pair.
  6. Favorite scripture used to be: Alma 32:21-34. Not sure what I would pick now.
  7. I prefer "web weaver" over "web designer".
  8. I like ER and West Wing. Love Deal or No Deal!
  9. I think chocolate is better with nuts in it.
  10. I keep Milky Way Midnights (the bite sized ones) in my office for medicinal purposes.

  1. The opening music on Conan O'Brian drives me crazy.
  2. I use post-it notes to organize my life.
  3. I like designing and building furniture.
  4. Small, yappy dogs annoy me.
  5. So do yappy people.
  6. I love a person that can carry their own in a conversation.
  7. I love being intellectually stimulated... making me curious goes a long way.
  8. I loved Johnny Carson.
  9. HGTV newbie and loving it!
  10. The first thing I wanted to be when I grew up was an astronaut.

  1. After that, I wanted to be a veterinarian.
  2. When I realized it would take 9 years of college to be a vet, I decided to major in English with no idea of what I wanted to be.
  3. Seven years into college, I took a Linguistics general ed class and knew I had found my major at last.
  4. I was able to write a letter of equivalence to teach computer science because I made an analogy about learning about human language and learning about computer language.
  5. Political science facinates me.
  6. Didn't see The Matrix until I graduated from Pepperdine and then I watched it 4 or 5 times in the first few weeks.
  7. The first movie I remember watching more than once was An Officer and a Gentleman
  8. I would do almost anything to see Garth Brooks in concert.
  9. I did get to see John Denver in concert. He was awesome!
  10. I saw the Beach Boys in concert in South Dakota and was probably the only California Girl in the audience.

  2. I play with legos for a living. Have about $15000 worth of them in my office.
  3. I like cats.
  4. I've never been to Boston in fall.
  5. I don't have a water buffalo.
  6. I know God is bigger than the Boogie Man!
  7. I am an Urban Suburban user. Not for style but for function. I can fit 9 people and 2 bales of hay in my 'burb... and I have!
  8. I have dry skin and use lotion all the time.
  9. Bath & Body Works is the best. Warm Vanilla Sugar and Brown Sugar & Fig are my current faves.
  10. I also have asthma.

  1. The first, and I think only, time I had stitches was when I was a kid and tripped over my dog.
  2. I didn't break a bone until I was 35 when I slipped on a jacket. It was the 5th metatarsel in my left foot... ouch!
  3. I had my tonsils out as a kid.
  4. The only time I've been in the hospital was for the tonsils, 5 children, a case of pnemonia, and an ectopic pregnancy.
  5. I breastfed all of my children. It's the one thing about babies I miss the most.
  6. Some day I want to be a LaLeche League counselor
  7. I have one sister. I'm the oldest.
  8. I don't do mornings, not willingly anyhow.
  9. I work well between 10pm and 2am.
  10. 4am is about the outer limits of how long I can stay up and stay productive.

  1. I learned during my year at Pepperdine that pulling all-nighters when you are 30-something is WAY harder than when you are 20-something.
  2. I love training dogs and I have taught classes before.
  3. I love houses with lots of windows and lots of natural light.
  4. I love sleeping with the windows open on a chilly spring night snuggled up under down blankets.
  5. I used to line up my stuffed animals and play school. I was the teacher, of course.
  6. I was a 4-H camp counselor for 4 years.
  7. I was also a 4-H All Star.
  8. I went to Washington DC with a California 4-H delegation.
  9. I was a 4-H Community Club Leader for 5 years, of the same club I used to be a member of.
  10. I also taught the Dog Care & Training project. We went to the State Fair in Sacramento three years in a row and took 1st place in the local rodeo parade with our Doggie Drill Team three or four years in a row.

  1. I love sitting on a quiet beach.
  2. I don't like seafood.
  3. I tried calamari last year and it wasn't bad. I tried sushi and didn't die.
  4. Only one person could talk me into trying something like that and he did.
  5. Not too fond of vegetables.
  6. I love the salad bar at Sizzler.
  7. But I do like beef. It doesn't taste like chicken.
  8. I am alergic to grass and hay.
  9. I love feeding the goats. It makes me itchy though.
  10. I don't wear much jewelry, although I do have an Italian charm bracelet.

  1. If you hear me playing Hank Williams Jr. really loud, just slide chocolate under the door and walk away quietly.
  2. If you hear John Denver, I'm in a mellow mood. Come on in.
  3. If the Beatles are on, I might need a little help from my friends.
  4. If I didn't run late, I wouldn't run at all.
  5. I've been on the 'net since about 1993. Remember gopher-space? I do.
  6. I joined AOL when there were under 10,000 members.
  7. I learned to type and breastfeed at the same time. If you've done yoga, you probably can picture how that looks.
  8. Speaking of typing, I taught myself how on a Smith Corona when I was the 4-H club reporter in 7th grade.
  9. Not sure how fast I type now, but I think it's up in the 70-80 word range. I mostly use just 2 fingers on each hand, but I am getting better.
  10. I have a 1920-30 Smith Corona manual typewriter in my office that I got at an antique store for five bucks.

  1. Not too interested in sports, although basketball isn't bad.
  2. The only sport I like to play is raquetball. No matter how bad you are, the ball stays in the room with you.
  3. I say "You should blog about that" a lot.
  4. I like to use the word "amazing".
  5. "Excellent" is a good word also.
  6. I read dictionaries for fun. New words are cool.
  7. Thesaurus.com is one of my favorite sites. I like to find just the right word.
  8. My favorite Disney movie is that Robin Hood one with all of the animals.
  9. I rode the train for the first time from Fresno to Stockton in May 2003. I thought it was so cool that it had a second story that I walked up to the snack car at least 5 times.

  3. I like playing Monopoly and Scrabble.
  4. I like the smell of the air in the morning after a good rain.
  5. If I could be anywhere, it would be on a remote, South Pacific beach riding a horse.
  6. I read before bed every night, even if I am dead tired, to wind down.
  7. I love In-n-Out Burgers. Their fries are the BEST.
  8. Can out gun (or maybe out run) even the biggest wolf spiders!
  9. I finally fulfilled a dream I've had since 1st grade by seeing the Royal Lipazzaner Stallions in August 2006 when they came to Bakersfield.
  10. I have a new dream, but I am keeping it to myself for now.

  5. I do not tolerate intolerant people.
  6. I'm really interested in how people think.
  7. I enjoy a vigorous (non-argumentative) debate about politics, religion, ethics, and anything else that has the potential to expand my view of the world.
  8. I used to be afraid of change. Now I embrace it. At least I try!
  9. I love to learn. Doesn't really matter about what.
  10. I add to lists like this when I am avoiding doing real work that I would rather not do.

  1. Ben & Jerry are my friends.
  2. When I am in a bad mood, I want to wallow for a while. I don't want sympathy, I just want things to get done so I can move on.
  3. When I am in a bad mood, Ben & Jerry are my BEST friends.
  4. When I am in a good mood, I can bounce a lot.
  5. I've been seen skipping across the college library.
  6. A good teaching moment can feel like an out-of-body experience. Suddenly you are on the other side of things and have no idea how you got there!
  7. Don't know how to do a cartwheel, but I would like to learn.
  8. Taking MySpace surveys can be fun. Somehow they mostly nail me pretty well.
  9. I'm an INFJ. See what makes me tick. Keirsey has another perspective as well. Take the test and see what you think!
  10. Other tests say I am an Innovator, that my hidden talent is Writing, that my dominant intelligence is Linguistic, that I am evenly split between left and right brain, that my blogging type is Confident and Insightful, that my power animal is an Eagle, that I have a B+ Personality, that my career type is Social, that my Disney character alter ego is Goofy, and that I should be a Jedi Knight.   5. I like shooting stars and all-nighters on the porch swing with a gentle summer breeze.
  6. I played Donkey Basketball as an FFA member and as an FFA Alumni. Yes. You really ride a donkey and you really play basketball.
