- I am Mom to Andy, Kym, Emilee, Rachel, and Matt
- My kids are amazing, every one of them, in their own unique ways.
- I consider myself more spiritual than religious these days. Yes. There is a difference.
- I live on a couple of acres at the base of the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains
- I like to read biographies about historical figures
- I'm facinated by technology
- I graduated with an M.A. in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University in 2003.
- Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate... what else can I say?
- My favorite colors are earth tones, blues, browns, etc.
- My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and John Irving
- Amazon.com junkie
- Macromedia evangelist. It was a sad day when they sold out to Adobe. I remember What the Web Can Be...too bad they don't.
- First code I wrote was on an Apple IIe in 1984.
- It took me nine years to get my B.A. degree.
- It only took me 13 months to get my M.A. degree.
- My B.A. is in Linguistics with a minor in English from CSU Fresno.
- I had a golden retriever for 14 years. I have a teenager Golden retriever now.
- I like apples.
- Speaking of Apples, I got my first MacBook Pro in Oct 2006. I'm a Switcher.
- My favorite food is Italian. I also like Mexican food.
- I've worn glasses since 5th grade. My eye doc says I can get the eye surgery to correct it, but I said NO WAY!
- I can watch open heart surgery, but eyeball stuff makes me squeemish.

- Love my low-top, lace-up Converse. Have dark blue and want a brown pair and a green pair.
- Favorite scripture used to be: Alma 32:21-34. Not sure what I would pick now.
- I prefer "web weaver" over "web designer".

- I think chocolate is better with nuts in it.
- I keep Milky Way Midnights (the bite sized ones) in my office for medicinal purposes.
- The opening music on Conan O'Brian drives me crazy.
- I use post-it notes to organize my life.
- I like designing and building furniture.
- Small, yappy dogs annoy me.
- So do yappy people.
- I love a person that can carry their own in a conversation.
- I love being intellectually stimulated... making me curious goes a long way.

- The first thing I wanted to be when I grew up was an astronaut.
- After that, I wanted to be a veterinarian.
- When I realized it would take 9 years of college to be a vet, I decided to major in English with no idea of what I wanted to be.
- Seven years into college, I took a Linguistics general ed class and knew I had found my major at last.
- I was able to write a letter of equivalence to teach computer science because I made an analogy about learning about human language and learning about computer language.
- Political science facinates me.
- Didn't see The Matrix until I graduated from Pepperdine and then I watched it 4 or 5 times in the first few weeks.
- The first movie I remember watching more than once was An Officer and a Gentleman
- I would do almost anything to see Garth Brooks in concert.
- I did get to see John Denver in concert. He was awesome!
- I saw the Beach Boys in concert in South Dakota and was probably the only California Girl in the audience.

- I play with legos for a living. Have about $15000 worth of them in my office.
- I like cats.
- I've never been to Boston in fall.
- I don't have a water buffalo.
- I know God is bigger than the Boogie Man!
- I am an Urban Suburban user. Not for style but for function. I can fit 9 people and 2 bales of hay in my 'burb... and I have!
- I have dry skin and use lotion all the time.
- Bath & Body Works is the best. Warm Vanilla Sugar and Brown Sugar & Fig are my current faves.
- I also have asthma.
- The first, and I think only, time I had stitches was when I was a kid and tripped over my dog.
- I didn't break a bone until I was 35 when I slipped on a jacket. It was the 5th metatarsel in my left foot... ouch!
- I had my tonsils out as a kid.
- The only time I've been in the hospital was for the tonsils, 5 children, a case of pnemonia, and an ectopic pregnancy.
- I breastfed all of my children. It's the one thing about babies I miss the most.
- Some day I want to be a LaLeche League counselor
- I have one sister. I'm the oldest.
- I don't do mornings, not willingly anyhow.
- I work well between 10pm and 2am.
- 4am is about the outer limits of how long I can stay up and stay productive.
- I learned during my year at Pepperdine that pulling all-nighters when you are 30-something is WAY harder than when you are 20-something.
- I love training dogs and I have taught classes before.
- I love houses with lots of windows and lots of natural light.
- I love sleeping with the windows open on a chilly spring night snuggled up under down blankets.
- I used to line up my stuffed animals and play school. I was the teacher, of course.
- I was a 4-H camp counselor for 4 years.
- I was also a 4-H All Star.
- I went to Washington DC with a California 4-H delegation.
- I was a 4-H Community Club Leader for 5 years, of the same club I used to be a member of.
- I also taught the Dog Care & Training project. We went to the State Fair in Sacramento three years in a row and took 1st place in the local rodeo parade with our Doggie Drill Team three or four years in a row.
- I love sitting on a quiet beach.
- I don't like seafood.
- I tried calamari last year and it wasn't bad. I tried sushi and didn't die.
- Only one person could talk me into trying something like that and he did.
- Not too fond of vegetables.
- I love the salad bar at Sizzler.
- But I do like beef. It doesn't taste like chicken.
- I am alergic to grass and hay.
- I love feeding the goats. It makes me itchy though.
- I don't wear much jewelry, although I do have an Italian charm bracelet.
- If you hear me playing Hank Williams Jr. really loud, just slide chocolate under the door and walk away quietly.
- If you hear John Denver, I'm in a mellow mood. Come on in.
- If the Beatles are on, I might need a little help from my friends.
- If I didn't run late, I wouldn't run at all.
- I've been on the 'net since about 1993. Remember gopher-space? I do.
- I joined AOL when there were under 10,000 members.
- I learned to type and breastfeed at the same time. If you've done yoga, you probably can picture how that looks.
- Speaking of typing, I taught myself how on a Smith Corona when I was the 4-H club reporter in 7th grade.
- Not sure how fast I type now, but I think it's up in the 70-80 word range. I mostly use just 2 fingers on each hand, but I am getting better.
- I have a 1920-30 Smith Corona manual typewriter in my office that I got at an antique store for five bucks.
- Not too interested in sports, although basketball isn't bad.
- The only sport I like to play is raquetball. No matter how bad you are, the ball stays in the room with you.
- I say "You should blog about that" a lot.
- I like to use the word "amazing".
- "Excellent" is a good word also.
- I read dictionaries for fun. New words are cool.
- Thesaurus.com is one of my favorite sites. I like to find just the right word.
- My favorite Disney movie is that Robin Hood one with all of the animals.
- I rode the train for the first time from Fresno to Stockton in May 2003. I thought it was so cool that it had a second story that I walked up to the snack car at least 5 times.
- I was born on March 5th.
- In Hollywood, CA.
- That makes me a Pisces.
- I like playing Monopoly and Scrabble.
- I like the smell of the air in the morning after a good rain.
- If I could be anywhere, it would be on a remote, South Pacific beach riding a horse.
- I read before bed every night, even if I am dead tired, to wind down.
- I love In-n-Out Burgers. Their fries are the BEST.
- Can out gun (or maybe out run) even the biggest wolf spiders!
- I finally fulfilled a dream I've had since 1st grade by seeing the Royal Lipazzaner Stallions in August 2006 when they came to Bakersfield.
- I have a new dream, but I am keeping it to myself for now.
- I've been kissed under the stars in the high desert and on the beaches of Malibu.
- I love being outside but don't get there enough.
- I have a ThinkGeek wishlist. Doesn't everyone?
- Blanket statements and generalizations annoy me (ALL <fill in the blank> is <fill in the blank>).
- I do not tolerate intolerant people.
- I'm really interested in how people think.
- I enjoy a vigorous (non-argumentative) debate about politics, religion, ethics, and anything else that has the potential to expand my view of the world.
- I used to be afraid of change. Now I embrace it. At least I try!
- I love to learn. Doesn't really matter about what.
- I add to lists like this when I am avoiding doing real work that I would rather not do.
- Ben & Jerry are my friends.
- When I am in a bad mood, I want to wallow for a while. I don't want sympathy, I just want things to get done so I can move on.
- When I am in a bad mood, Ben & Jerry are my BEST friends.
- When I am in a good mood, I can bounce a lot.
- I've been seen skipping across the college library.
- A good teaching moment can feel like an out-of-body experience. Suddenly you are on the other side of things and have no idea how you got there!
- Don't know how to do a cartwheel, but I would like to learn.
- Taking MySpace surveys can be fun. Somehow they mostly nail me pretty well.

- I think I know almost everyone on my Friends list (except the bands). I've met some really amazing people through MySpace.
