Introduction to the Internet

A hands-on introduction to the concepts and resources of the Internet. Students will learn how to use the Internet and the World Wide Web as a research and communication tool. Specific topics such as Web browsers, search engines, e-mail, e-commerce and basic web page design will be discussed.

Prerequisite skills: comfortable using your computer, opening a web browser, using email. You don't have to be an expert, but you should be able to get online.

Important!You must have a current email address on file with the Admissions office or you may not be contacted with course information. It is your responsibility to "walk" into the class by contacting me before the official start date of the course.
