Expanding Your Horizons
- A conference for young women to learn about career opportunities in the fields of mathematics, science, engineering and technology. The event provides students personal contacts with women working in occupations traditionally held by males (grades 4-10).

Cal Poly High Desert Master Plan Committee (2006-07)
- Represent Cerro Coso Community College at the CPHD meetings
- Participate in the creation of a master plan to submit to the State of California requesting the placement of a university in the Lancaster-Ridgecrest area.
- Work with the CPHD chair and college president to bring upper division engineering and computer science courses to Ridgecrest through distance education technology.
Desert Empire Fair (October 2006, 2007)
- Organize a robotics demonstration in Sage Hall for the duration of the fair
- Coordinate with the LEGO contest and supply judges for the competition
- Creation of a Robotics competition category

- Participate in band fundraising activities

Leadership Porterville Class of 2003 Mentor
- Participate in the initial mentorship meeting in February and the follow-up session in October.
- Meet monthly with mentee to discuss program and other issues.
- Invite mentee to be a guest for at least one business, professional, or community group during the year.
- Introduce mentee to at least five people who could be helpful to him/her in attaining community or professional goals.

Golden Hills 4-H Co-Community Club Leader and project leader
- Coordinate (by managing and facilitating) the team that provides support, guidance, and direction to 4-H members and the club.
- Is the primary contact person for the club with the county 4-H staff and the county 4-H Leaders Council.
- Promotes the 4-H club, and its mission and programs to the community.
- Ensures compliance with and adherence to University of California 4-H policies, procedures and core values by parents, volunteers and members.
- Projects led: Dog Care and Training, Teen Leadership, Passport to the World, Computer Technology, Reading Around the World.
- Awarded ten year leader pin in September 2005.

- Workshops for 7th and 8th grade students to give them an opportunity to experience college classes first hand.
